Eid-al-Fitr
(Eid al-Fitr, Eid ul-Fitr, Id-Ul-Fitr, Eid) is the first day of the Muslim
month of Shawwal. It marks the end of Ramadan, which is a month of fasting
and prayer. Many Muslims attend communal prayers, listen to a khutba
(sermon) and give zakat al-fitr (charity in the form of food) during
Eid al-Fitr.
The
annual celebration of Eid-el-Fitr in Oluwanisola Estate, along Lekki-Ajah
Expressway, Lagos, held in the billionaire mogul’s estate while Chief Rasaq
Okoya and his amiable wife, Chief (Dr.) Mrs Shade Okoya were the chief host, it
was allegedly gathered that the two lovers just came back from business trip
from abroad.
This
year Eid-el-Fitr was celebrated in style, Chief Rasaq Okoya feeds over five
thousand muslim follower and he make sure that the food and drinks where
properly served and circulated before he attend to his special guest.
